Onion cheese rings with Paneer Masala and Basmati Rice

Shoppinglist:

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 small piece of Gouda
  • 2 eggs (yolks)
  • 20g Panko breadcrumbs
  • 20g flour
  • 1 packet Schani tomato curry with rice
  • 3-4 tbsp Schani Tiger Sauce
  • 1/2 bottle of rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp  Schani Royal Ghee
  • 1 packet Schani Royal Basmati rice

Preparation

Slice the onions into 3-4cm rings. Then place the 3rd onion ring into the 1st onion ring so that there is a little space between the rings to fill the rings with cheese. Cut the cheese into similar thickness as the onion rings and fill the space in the onion rings, this way you will have alternate onion rings and cheese rings. Prepare one bowl with flour, one with egg yolk, and one with the panko breadcrumbs and coat the onion rings in this order.

Heat the rapeseed oil in a pan and fry the onion rings on a medium heat for 1 minute until golden. In the meantime heat the packet of Paneer Masala in another pan according to the instructions on the packet and season with a spoonful of ghee.

Arrange the onion rings on a plate and fill with the Paneer Masala. Serve with the rice Serving tip: Fill a cup with the rice and press it down. Heat in the microwave for 1 minute. Turn the rice out onto the plate.
